Our mission is to connect readers, writers and Flöwan characters in a community that shares ideas and the stories of Flöwan characters. We deliver fun, social, interactive entertainment experiences to players. Your privacy is important to us and this Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use information collected when you use our Services (described below). Please read this Privacy Policy before using our Services.

1. Introduction
Edunomics Institute, Inc. owns the Flöwan application, or “app”, the related myflowan.com website and other domains or websites operated by Edunomics Institute, Inc. (the “Services”). Edunomics Institute develops and publishes our Services for web access and mobile devices. “Edunomics Institute,” “we,” “our,” or “us” in this Privacy Policy refers to Edunomics Institute Inc.

The Privacy Policy describes the ways we collect, store, use, and disclose your information and your rights and choices concerning your information.

For purposes of data protection laws, if you are located in the United States or Canada, Edunomics Institute Inc. is considered the “data controller”.

This Privacy Policy applies whenever you use our Services. If you do not want us to collect, store, use, or share your information in the ways described in this Privacy Policy, you may not use our Services.

2. Information We Collect and How We Collect It
We collect information that you provide to us, including the information you input when you create your account or a player profile. Such information may include:

  • Identity information, such as your name, whether real or fictional.
  • Contact data, such as your email address.
  • Technical data, such as your internet protocol (“IP”) address.
  • Usage data, which includes information about how use our Services and any communications we may receive from you.
  • Marketing and communications data, including your preferences in receiving such communications from us.
  • Confirmation that you are 15 years or older.

Information You Share With Us Directly
When you use our Services, we ask that you provide us with your email address when creating an account.

On the Flöwan app, we also let you create a profile that other Flöwan community members can see. The information that you provide in your profile does not need to be true, and we encourage players to present themselves as fictional characters. We do not try to find your real name by searching for it using your email address and we and do not try to gather additional information about you from third-party sources based on your email address.

Your profile may include the following information (whether real or fictional):

  • your Flöwan avatar;
  • your Flöwan profile first and last name;
  • your Flöwan username;
  • your species;
  • your biographic details (like your age or age range);
  • your personal description that you provide;
  • details about the Flöwan store merchandise that you have bought or received as a gift.

Information We Collect Automatically
As you use our Services, we collect information about the ways in which you use and interact with our Services, such as the IP address used to connect to our Service, As part of our internal technical structure, we track when and for how long you stay on the Flöwan app, the Flöwan features you use, characters you interact with, purchases you make in the Flöwan store with fictional currency “earned” by participation in our Services, contests you enter, and your other activities on our the Flöwan app activities or our Services. We currently do not use any third-party analytics services, but we may do so in the future (see Section 4 below.)

If you choose to use communication features that allow you to communicate or share information by, for example, posting on Flöwan characters’ boards, we will collect that information.

Customer Support Correspondence
We’ll keep a record of any correspondence between us.

When you ask for help from our Customer Support team, we will collect and store the contact information you give them (generally, your username and e-mail address), and the identification number associated with your username. We store the communications you have with our Customer Service team and any additional information in those communications in order to provide support and improve the Services.

3. How We Use Information We Collect and Our Legal Bases for Processing It
We use your information to provide, personalize, maintain the security of, and improve our Services, to maintain our business operations, and to exercise, defend or establish our rights.

We use your information under several legal bases, including to provide our Services, for our legitimate reasonable interests, to comply with our legal obligations, or otherwise because we received your consent.

The main use of the information we collect and store is to improve our Services, such as your Flöwan app experience, but there are other uses as well. The uses for which we collect and store your information include:

  • to improve and optimize our Services and Flöwan community members’ experiences;
  • to create your personal account and allow you to use our Services, such as participating on the Flöwan app;
  • to personalize Services for you;
  • to communicate with you about the Services you’re using, including updates, new Services, and promotional offers that we think might be of interest to you;
  • to enable Flöwan community members to communicate in the Flöwan app;
  • to provide customer service and technical support;
  • to protect the safety and well-being of our players;
  • to protect our rights and property in connection with our Services;
  • to prevent fraud or potentially illegal activities, and to enforce our Terms of Service;
  • to manage and deliver contextual and behavioral communications;
  • to administer rewards, surveys, sweepstakes, contests, or other promotional activities or events sponsored or managed by us or our business partners;
  • to comply with our legal obligations, resolve any disputes we may have with you or other players, and to enforce our agreements with third parties; and/or
  • to conduct research (using summary anonymous information).

4. What Information We Share and How We Share It
Please keep in mind that whenever your voluntarily make personal information or other information available in areas for viewing by other Flöwan community members/players (for example by posting on Flöwan character boards or by inputting personal information in your personal profile) such information can be seen, collected and used by other besides us. We are not responsible for any unauthorized third party use of such information.

  • We do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties without your consent, except we may share personal information as set forth in this Privacy Policy or in any Terms of Use for any Services that may be in effect from time to time, including, without limitation, in situations described below:. We may share anonymous summary information, aggregate data, performance data to conduct our business, improve the delivery of our Services, and to enable us and our business partners to improve and promote products and services. . For example, we may share such information with companies that place product pictures and descriptions on the Flöwan store to tailor the products available on the Flöwan store to Flöwan community member interests, and to provide Flöwan community members with special in-app offers or coupons regarding other virtual products.
  • We may share personal information to authorized agents or third party contractors whom we employ to perform tasks on our behalf and to the extent we need to share information with them to conduct our business or to provide our products, services, and offers to you.
  • On rare occasions, we may share personal information when we believe it is necessary to comply with the law, regulation or legal request (including a court order or government inquiry); to protect our property rights or those of an applicable third parties, including to enforce our Terms of Service; in the context of a merger, acquisition, reorganization or restructuring exercise; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the, our employees, our players, or others.

In addition to the sharing described above, we may share your information with other third parties or allow them to collect your information from our Services in some ways not specifically described in this Privacy Policy but only if we have your consent to do so. For example, if you agree to receive marketing emails from one of our business partners, we might ask you whether we can share with them the kinds of virtual purchases you have made on the app using flowrin earned by participation in activities on the app, if that business partner requests us to do so.

5. Your Rights and How to Access, Update, and Manage Your Personal Information
Please note that we may communicate with you from time to time if we need to provide you with information about our Services , if we need to request information from you with respect to a transaction initiated by you, or for other legitimate non-marketing reasons, for example, if we update this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Service. Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account.

As indicated above, we may send you emails about products, services, special deals, and promotions offered by us or one of our business partners. Out of respect for your privacy, we will also provide an option not to receive these types of communications and you may accept or reject any of these, or opt-out of receiving these communications completely.

6. Do Not Track Signals
We do not currently have the capability to recognize browser Do Not Track Signals.

7. Our Policies Concerning Children
Our Services are not intended for children under the age of 15 (“Children” or “Child”). Children are not permitted to use these Services, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from Children. If we become aware that a Child under 15 has provided us with personal information, we will take reasonable steps to remove such information from our systems and terminate the applicable account.

8. How Long We Keep Your Information
We’ll keep your information for as long as necessary to provide you with the Services, maintain our legitimate business operations, and/or exercise, defend or establish our rights.

How long we retain your personal information depends on why we collected it and how we use it, but we will not retain your personal information for longer than is necessary for our business purposes or for legal requirements.

We will retain information about you that is connected with your account or our Services for as long as you have an active account with us. We will take reasonable measures to delete this personal information if you delete/deactivate your account. However, you acknowledge that we may retain some information (such as communications with customer service representatives) after you have deactivated, or we have deleted, your account necessary to enable us to meet our legal obligations or to exercise, defend, or establish our rights.

9. Security of Your Information
We work hard to protect your information but you also have a role to play.

We implement reasonable and appropriate security measures to help protect the security of your information both online and offline and to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. These measures vary based upon the sensitivity of your information.

If you have an account registered directly with our Services, such as with the Flöwan app, your email address and any other profile information you wish to keep private is protected by the password you use to access your account. It is important that you protect and maintain your account’s security and that you immediately tell us of any unauthorized use of your account. If you forget the password to your account, our Services allow you to request instructions to be sent to the email address we have on file for you that explain how to reset your password.

While we take precautions against possible security breaches of our Services and our player databases and records, no transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss, or other breaches will never occur, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information while it is being transmitted to us, for example, via the Flöwan app. Any transmission is at your own risk. 10. Changes to Our Privacy Policy
We’ll let you know about any material changes to this Privacy Policy.

If we decide to make material changes to our Privacy Policy, we will tell you and other players by placing a notice on our Services, such as on the Flöwan app or on www.myflowan.com, or by sending you a notice to the email address we have on file for you before the change becomes effective (and we will ask for your consent where required by law). You should periodically check www.myflowan.com and this Privacy Policy for any updates.
